In this episode, I have the honor of speaking with Nicole Wagner. Like other guests I've had on this show, Nicole and I first met through an incredible community and network marketing business, and we became closer after spending time together on an incentive trip. I’ve always known Nicole to be an excellent communicator with many stories to share, but in this conversation, she opens up about one that deeply impacted her life and her family — her experience with breast implant illness.

Nicole described herself as a scrawny child who struggled to put on weight and eventually decided that a breast implant might help her feel more feminine. As an avid long-distance runner, she wanted a small implant and felt confident in her decision, fully supported by her husband. However, shortly after surgery, Nicole began to experience a range of mysterious symptoms — joint pain, fatigue, and an overall sense that something wasn’t right.

Her once-active lifestyle came to a halt as her body weakened. Planning family outings or even standing for long periods became a challenge. Despite visiting multiple doctors and receiving different diagnoses, Nicole trusted her intuition and continued to advocate for herself, determined to find answers.

After reading an article shared by a mutally connected friend, Nicole discovered that many of her symptoms were consistent with breast implant illness. Following extensive research and connection with others facing similar struggles, she made the decision to have explant surgery — and it changed everything.

Now, Nicole is passionate about sharing her story, raising awareness, and empowering other women to listen to their bodies and trust their instincts. Her journey is a powerful reminder to never stop advocating for yourself and to always follow those inner nudges — whether it’s to seek help, offer support, or reach out to someone who might need it.

I’m so grateful to Nicole for her honesty, courage, and vulnerability in sharing this message. It’s an important conversation we can all learn from.
