S3E2: See a Need, Fill a Need - with Makayla Green

Today’s guest is Makayla Green, another beautiful soul I had the pleasure of being introduced to through one of my best referral partners, Christine Spradlin. Christine and Makayla know each other through business and networking, as Makayla and her husband own a cleaning service. When Christine heard Makyala sharing more openly about some of the challenges she has faced in life, she mentioned the podcast—and I’m so glad she did!

Makayla is a mom, a successful businesswoman, and someone who truly believes that even after difficult seasons, you can find success, keep moving forward, and create something meaningful.

Her positive mindset is infectious. Throughout our conversation, Makayla shares the importance of staying positive, continuing to grow and learn, and never giving up. She encourages taking risks and continuing to try new things—even when you’ve failed before. Sometimes the greatest growth comes from simply being willing to try again.

We also talk about something that can be both incredibly rewarding and challenging: working with your spouse. Makayla shares the importance of communication, compatibility, and genuinely enjoying the person you’re building a business with. Because while loving your spouse is important, liking them matters too! When you’re partners in life and in business, being able to communicate, work together, and have a little fun along the way can make all the difference.

Makayla also opens up about finding balance when you’re someone who naturally wants to serve others and make everyone happy. She shares how she has learned to balance that desire to please with taking care of her own mental and emotional well-being—and how she is passing those lessons along to her children.

This conversation was filled with encouragement, wisdom, laughter, and so many reminders that our challenges don’t have to define us. We can learn, grow, take chances, try again, and continue showing our children what it looks like to keep moving forward.
